Part Identification for Plastic and Sheet Metal Components:

PRINTING FOR PART IDENTIFICATION OF SHEET METAL AND MOLDED PLASTIC COMPONENTS

We possess the capability to print directly onto injection-molded or fabricated sheet metal components after the molding/forming process. This allows our customer to complete most of the fabrication and assembly prior to printing, and helps to insure that the graphics will not be damaged during production.

ALTERNATE IDENTIFICATION/DECORATION STRATEGIES

Overlays and decals provide additional options for decorating 3-D parts. Often, these can be printed on transparent film to create an invisible applique that looks like a painted/printed housing.

Laser etching is another option where color matching is not critical. Whether this process is applicable for your part depends on the type of material and design needed- our team will be happy to consult with your engineering and design personnel to decide whether this is the right solution for your part.

VARIABLE DATA AND TRACEABILITY

Serial number and/or barcode labels can be added for traceability and part identification, including lot numbers, manufacturing date, etc. Typically, because they vary from one part to the next, these are in label/decal format and are printed digitally.
